Getting to know your Caddy
Think of it as a family car rather than a Rolls Royce, while it may lack some of the extra features of more expensive electric golf buggies it is designed as an affordable buggy to serve you well.
Please read the following to help you understand how to get the best out of your Mi-CADDY electric buggy.
Any constructive comments or requests for advice on these buggies are welcome.
Controls
The electric buggy is fitted with a red On/Off switch and a speed control dial. It is recommended that the switch is left in the on position while in use and the speed dial is used to stop, start and control the speed. There will be a slight delay the first time the dial is used after the switch is turned on but thereafter the response will be immediate. IMPORTANT: The control dial must be in the stop (anti clockwise) position when the power switch is turned on. If it is not, or the dial is turned up too quickly the unit may not start, this is due to the controller being programmed to protect the motor. Use the speed control dial as you would the accelerator of a car, start gently and do not operate at full throttle unless necessary.
Steering the Buggy
Mi-CADDY is fitted with a castor wheel that allows the user to change direction very easily. There is no need to place downward pressure on the handle, as is the case with a fixed front wheel, to enable a buggy to change direction so no stress is placed on the mainframe. Simply apply a little power while holding the handle back against the direction you want your buggy to go in. It is a simple technique to master and achieve effortless change of direction.
Battery
While the 24 Ah battery is capable of travelling in excess of 18 holes it is recommended that it be placed on charge after each round to prolong its life. This is common policy for all sealed batteries.
To Assemble
There are 3 basic components of the buggy, battery, seat and main frame. To prepare for use extend the frame and secure it in position by locking with the fitted catch, then extend the handle section which is automatically fixed in position with the spring loaded catch. The seat can now be fitted.
Next, fit the wheels ( they can remain on the buggy ) and the battery. Ensure that the power switch is in the off position before connecting the battery.
Fit the seat and your buggy is now ready for your bag. Enjoy.
To pack for transport simply reverse this order, remove the battery and seat before folding the frame. The wheels can be removed if required
Maintenance
The MiCaddy electric golf buggy is maintenance free. Do not lubricate any part of the buggy such as the axles or clutches. This serves no purpose as there are no external moving parts.
